The War: The little bat lives peacefully in the old mill. One day he is disturbed by a big crash and suddenly the mill is full of noisy crows that make a big mess. Next thing the mill is invaded by a group of nosey rats that nibble on everything. The crows and the rats get into a row over a bag of barley and it soon turns into a regular battle of life and death. Suddenly the war is over, but can the bat really feel safe?

The Spring Fly: The little spring fly awakes from his winter hibernation and meets the cockroach. The two go for a little walk and talk about life principles. The fly believes that everything is controlled by circumstances whereas the cockroach firmly believes that the law of reproduction stand above all else. They are both challenged when they meet the spider, who follows her very own set of rules.

Cabbage Head: Shortly after Estonia’s independence from the Russians the country is in ecstasy over its newfound freedom. It is time for the annual country fair and the greedy Samuel steals his neighbor’s unusually large cabbage head hoping to win the main prize. This starts a series of events that includes an American journalist, two Chinese thieves, the KGB in a submarine and a dangerous harvest machine.
